Many posts have referred to problems similar to mine but
not the same:
I cannot seem to use drive letters above E:, I have floppy
A:, partitioned HDD C: & D: and CD-RW E:. I have fitted a
DVD-RW as a slave on the sec IDE which is recognised by
bios, and shows up in device manager. Power is on. I can
physically swap it with the CD-RW (changing jumper setting
as necessary) and it works. Also, I have also tried to
install a USB Digital Camera and this won't appear as an
additional drive either. Perhaps this is linked to the
above.
Unlike most of the other posts/responses on similar
problems I am running Win 98 not XP.
