How can I control my drive lettering? In Win98 and earlier my second
physical drive partitions were labeled after my master drive
partitions. In WinXP Home (full install) they first showed up after
the cd drive, which is awkward by not a real problem. Now they show up
after C:. This IS a problem because I install apps and data in
separate partitions from the OS, and re-lettering makes it hard
(impossible) for all parts to find each other. I don't need this.
I repartitioned the slave drive to a small primary and 1 logical drive
("backup") in the extended, then hid the primary. The logical drive
still shows up as D:. I can't find BIOS options for forcing drive
lettering (Epox 8KHA+ mb). How can I get WinXP to letter all
partitions on my master drive before the slave?
Thanks for any help.
