Drive Letter

I recently installed an external hard drive. Things worked good until
installed more ram in my system. When I restarted the system, the ne
external drive was changed from "J" drive to "K". How can I rename i
back to "J" so that all of the programs I have installed will b
detected when their icons are used?

I am not computer literate at all. Any help would be appreciated
