Why did windows xp change the icon for my F: drive. It used a hard drive
icon in the past..Now i don't know what it is..........Thanks

I doubt Windows xp changed the drive icon, more likely a program installed
on your system changed it.

Delete the file named autorun.inf from the hard drive's root folder.
