I have gotten messages saying Drive D DRIVE LETTER ACCESS. I can not use the cd/dvd drive How can I get the cd rom to work properly. I tried to use Sonic record now and it kept saying insert disc. It is almost as if the entire drive is gone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The only way to test would be to put another drive in there and I'm assuming
you are talking about a CD-RW drive.

Have you checked to be sure the version of Record Now you are using is
compatible with XP? Have you checked their website for updates and other
tech information.

It appears the message you have posted is complete, is there any more to the
message. Does the message appear when you are trying to record or when you
try to read from the disk? What are you try to do, are you trying to record
an audio CD or are you trying to create a data disk? If a data disk, are
you just dragging files to the disk one at a time? If yes, does record now
support packet writing and if it does, did you first format the disk with
their software? NOTE: audio CDs use a technique known as mastering and
don't require formatting.
