drive: is not accessible

I am using Windows 2000 Pro to network about 12 computers
in a common workgroup. The "server" has a shared folder
which needs to be accessible to all the computers in the
workgroup. When trying to map a network drive to this
folder from a new computer, I get the error "s: is not
accessible". The new user is assigned to the
administrators group on both the server and the new
computer. How do I make this folder accessible to the
new computer/user?

Can you browse to the network share ok? Is the problem only one 1 computer and only when you try and map the drive?

The folder in question is an administrative share (i.e.
\\server\shared$) to prevent unwanted browsing. Other
folders can be browsed and others cannot. The folders
unable to browse give the same error whether browsing or
mapping a network drive. The problem is on the last two
computers added to the network.
