I have been using Drive Image 2002 to back-up and restore OS partitions for
my Windows XP systems for a few years now. I realize it isn't the "latest
and greatest" but it gets the job done.
I will be buying a Vista Basic Emachines system for my daughter tomorrow,
which comes with a single partition 120gb hard drive. I would ordinarily
use DI to leave a small-ish OS partition, and put the rest in a larger Data
partition. This makes overall back-up considerably easier.
Can I still use DriveImage 2002 (which handles NTFS drives without
difficulty so far) to manage a Vista system in this manner?
If not, are there any free (or inexpensive) tools that will allow me to do
this?
Thanks.
