Is there any way to disable the hard drive error reporting dialog. I am
getting the warning every time the C drive is accessed - I have found no
errors with chk disk, diskeeper and the device manager reports the drive is
operating properly.
Is there any way to disable this process?

To be sure you might want to download a drive diagnostic utility from the
drive manufacturer's web site. That will create a bootable floppy or CD.
Boot from that and run the diagnostics.

I don't know the answer to your question, but when does this message occur
and what exactly does it say?
