I have lost a way to look at files on my hard drives. I twants to know what
program I want to use to see them. Windows explorer is not listed. What can I
do?
 
What happens if you press the Windows key +E? What happens if you enter
"Explorer" (without the quotes) in the Start Menu Run box? How about
right clicking on "My Computer" and selecting "Explore?

Right-click the icon for the drives and choose Open. Look for a file called
autorun.inf at the root of the drives and delete it.

If there is no such file, then do a scan for viruses and malware.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time things
worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus
status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and
versions) did you use to determine this?
