Drawing an Animated Circle

This is what I want to do:

I have several parts of a slide I'd like to circle for emphasis. Rather than
the cirlce just appearing, is there a way to animate it actually drawing the
circle around the object? I know I could use the PowerPoint pen during the
presentation, but I'd rather have it all set up so all I have to do is click
and the circles are drawn.

I've searched high and low and can't find a thing on how to do this.

What PowerPoint version are you using?
For PowerPoint 2002/XP and above, you can add Wheel effect.
To do so, click Add Effect > Entrance > More Effects > Wheel.
Click Ok to add the effect.
Now, select the added wheel effect, set the number of spokes to 1.

Tohlz's effect particuarly works well if the fill of the circle is the same
color as your background (or no fill at all), and the line is a different
color. It gives the illusion that a hand is drawing the circle.

Using 2003. Got it to work - thanks so much!!
