Drag and Occasionally Drop

My mouse/cursor function had become very lazy at dragging and dropping. I
can select files OK, and can begin to drag but then it lets go of the file
somewhere between the origin and destination. The file will usually (not
always) then stay at it's point of origin. The problem seems worse when
dragging larger files and is chronic in photoshop, but also has problems in
outlook and other apps.

Any ideas appreciated,

Try:

- a different mouse. This will help if the left click button is worn.

- a right-click and drag. This might help for the same reason. When
you release, you'll be given a few option: Move, Copy, "Create shortcuts
here", Cancel.
