Drag and Drop/Taskbar and other problems

I am having several problems with my pc after I installed and used IOBIT
Security software. I am not sure if it has something to do with this but my
computer was working fine before I ran this program.

First of I can no longer drag and drop anything, not even links on my
browser. The taskbar and start menu hide when I start the computer, to get it
back I have to click on properties>toolbars and enable the desktop. It then
lets me drag the taskbar up and get it back to normal.


Search doesn't work anymore it won't open at all. Also having trouble with
copying and pasting. Lastly the windows don't minimize to the taskbar, they
minimize on top of the taskbar and when I open a window the other ones
minimize automatically.
I am afraid Iobit deleted an important registry key or start up function, I
am not an expert on computer functions and stuff so I really don't know what
to do. I have searched for this problem everywhere and tried some of the
suggestions and still no success :( I also scanned my computer with AVG
antivirus and another online scanner and found no viruses.

I am using windows xp home edition. Also I would like to note just in case
it is relevant: the task manager process list seems smaller, there used to
be more items running before. and I also installed some addons for Firefox
before this happened and my computer was abruptly and involuntarily shutdown
because of a dead battery .
 
Did you install this version Advanced SystemCare PRO Edition? If
yes, I would try uninstalling it and see if it's the culprit. You could also
try a System Restore to a point prior
to installing the software.
 
I installed the Iobit Security 350 free edition. I did uninstall it and there
was no change. I am still having the same problems. I am even discovering
more problems. I cannot do a system restore, as I had system restore
disabled which I now regret :(. I have no backups of anything, I never
expected this to happen. I have no drive and windows came installed in my
computer. I am using Asus EEE PC.

The new problems I am discovering are: I no longer have sound, somehow it
has been disabled - when I got to the sounds control it is blocked out and
muted and won't let me adjust the controls. Some of my programs are not
opening - for example my Paint.NET program, when I click on it it says
'Windows Installer not properly installed'. I also cannot preview images
with the windows preview anymore.

I will really appreciate any help I can get with this issue, it is very
frustrating. I am hoping not to have to reinstall my whole windows. :(
