JASON LOVE

Hi there.

You know how, when you drag-and-drop in Windows Explorer, you sometimes
receive the prompt: "Would you like to overwrite the file of the same name
.... YES, YES TO ALL, or NO"?

Is there a way to select NO TO ALL?

When I back up files to my external hard drive, I'd like Windows Explorer to
skip the files that are already there and just add new ones.

Alternately, perhaps there is another program that will allow me to select
NO TO ALL?

Thanks in advance for your insights.

Jason

Shift + No = No to All in file replace dialogs. There is no No to All in folder replace dialogs.

What program are you using to back up ? If it's NT Backup found in XP then you have an option in the configuration to overwrite files that have been modified only. I'm sorry I can't be more specific as I presently don't have any backup program installed. I have never found the need for one. My XP HE SP2 RC2 is so stable and protected that it never gives me even one hiccup. Click your way around NT Backup and I'm sure you will see the option. Good luck. {:~)
