would like to take info from an existing calendar and move it to a new one.
Example all of my dates are on one calendar now. I want to set up a
personal, socal and work calendar. I'd like to move the stuff that is
already on one calendar to the other two that are now provided in this
upgrade. I can't get the info to cut/paste or move. I'll have to re enter
everything it seems.

That's it.

Thanks

Are you saying that if you have both calendars visible, you can't
right-click an item, drag it to the other, release the button, and choose
Copy?

switch to a table view and drag the items to the new calendar. Note that
it's generally better to use categories, not separate calendars.
