I'm trying to install RC#1 on my Laptop which is Amilo D8830 and it has
(Atleast according to the compatibility check) National Semiconductor
DPD83815-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter.

Is there a way to rig it to work with windows vista rc#1 since it's not
picking it up

I have an HP ze5738rs that gave me the problem when I tried to upgrade. I
used the old XP drivers that were available from HP and it seems to be
working fine. Since it's the same adapter model # etc, you might try grabbin
the drivers from there and see if it works for you.

I had a similar problem but it did not go away so easily. I installed the
old HP Driver and the system immediately became unstable and just "stopped"
dead in it's tracks at random points. Had to roll back to XP.....but would
like to try it again.
