How do I fix this: I put a software installation cd into my computer, nothing
comes up. It's almost like nothing is loading. The cd is just in there. I
really need help, I have to get this fixed.

Go to my computer,R.click on the cdrom or rw,select open, locate the auto-
run folder,or the .exe for the installation of the software.

ok i tired all of that. When i got to clicking Open, it said enter a disk in.
well ive already done that 20 thousand times before. and nothing loads up.
when i first had my computer i believe, when i inserted a cd or something it
asked me what i wanted to bring up for it. Like WindowsMdia, something like
that. Well now, it doesnt do that. I'm thinkin i might have said for it to
"take no action". Now what i mean?

Hi Jessica,

You may need to clean the drive using a CD lens cleaner disk. These are
inexpensive and can be found at most stores that sell CD/DVD media.

Clean the disc....if that doesnt work...maybe the cables to the cd-rom
are loose...IDE or the power cable...

When was the last time you used your cd-rom?

Maybe (gulp) the cd-rom itself is bad? needs to be replaced?

I had that happen to me Jess...the cd-rom just gave out after 2
years...had to replace it...

On that "start-up" box...if you clicked "take no action"...it'll do
just that...so.....go into the cd-rom portion of the software and
adjust it there...there are options to do that...

Jess: desktop: my computer....click....go to the cd-rom drive....right
click....properties....then "auto-play"....

you can make adjustments there...
