Came across this handy extension for Firefox that works great with
external download programs.

DownloadWith is Mozilla/Firefox extension to download files with
external programs like wget, prozilla, Downloader for X, Download
Accelerator Plus and GetRight.

This is an interesting extension indeed. Thanks Zo.
 
You may better try this download manager from Tonec Inc. It does not
require any extensions and may fully replace the default Mozilla
download manager. IDM has great speed any many useful options. It is
much more stable that DAP and Getright and does not contain spyware. I
strongly recommend you to try it. This beta version may integrate into
ANY browser and handle ALL downloads.
