Please help! I am trying to download updated drivers for
different hardware with XP and IE6. I get to the sites,
put in the appropriate username and password and the
taskbar(?) below the browser says the download is
beginning, but it actually never starts and the next
message I get is "done" in the lower left corner. I don't
know what to do and hopefully someone out there can help.
Are my internet options set incorrectly or is there a
possible conflict somewhere? Thank you in advance for any
help that may be given.
 
Let's make sure the trouble is at your end first... why a "Username"?

Most makers simply put drivers up for anyone to download. Can you give an
example of one of the sites?

It will help someone answer if they can get a clue as to what's happening.

(No need for names or passwords... especially in a newsgroup - just what
kind of site we're talking is the idea...)

It means you already downloaded it, find the IE6Setup

icon under c:program/Internet explorer file, click on it
and it should get you started...best of luck
