I have just upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2 and since doing this, I
can't download largish kind of files because they start off okay and then
part of the way thru the download box just stays there and the information in
the box doesn't progress. It varies as to where in the download it will
seize up but it's pretty consistently doing it. I thought it might be a
firewall issue but I can't really find anything to point to that. I could
download fine before upgrading.

Please help!!!

Do you have any third party toolbars installed?

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced and uncheck ""Enable third-party
browser enhancements (requires restart)".
Restart the computer and try again.

First, check to make sure your cache setting is larger than the files you
are trying to download - Tools...Internet Settings...General tab...Settings
button.

Next, totally clear your TIF: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm -
delete the TIF folder completely (from another admin account) if no joy with
doing it via the IE interface.
