I am working from a second computer in my home, which is hooked up by a
wireless connection to my cable modem. Just recently, everytime I try to
download a .exe file from the internet, after a dialogue box showing the
progress of the download (which shows no progress) I get the following
message:
" Internet Explorer cannot download <filename>.exe. Interenet Explorer was
not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either
unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."
However, I know that, in some cases, these sites are available. I have
tried from my other computer and was able to download the file. I looked
for settings that might be preventing this (such as security options), but
all of these seem to indicate that the download should proceed. Any ideas?
Incidentally, the wireless network being used is LinkSys Wireless B.
