Downloads not opening

When I try to open attachments in hotmail, I click on download attachment,
and the next thing I get is a white page which states "done" at the bottom,
but nothing is on the page. Can someone help. I am on Windows 98

You posted your Windows 98/Hotmail problem in a .NET programming group
(dotnet.general) where you are unlikely to get any interest or answers.
When I posted my reply, I also sent it to an appropriate group:

microsoft.public.win98.internet

That doesn't guarantee you'll get responses, but you'll have a better chance
there.
 
A better place for this is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general.
Win98.Internet is moribund. Sorry, I don't have an answer for the OP, but
perhaps someone else does.
