I got Vista RC1 installed on iMac Boot Camp replacing Win XP Home and all
seems to work fine. OK, "all" is overstatement.
First problem is that nothing I download gets saved to my disk (or I can't
find it, if it does). This goes for demo programs etc. I am using CA as
virus protection (instead of AVG, which doesn't seem to work with Vista), so
I wondered if that was the prob.
If I try to DL a demo program, all appears to go as normal but then the
program is not saved anywhere. Not on desktop (my preference), or in my
personal user dir anywhere. Is this a known issue?
Also, if I send myself an Excell sheet, I cannot save it back to the HD from
the mail. Any ideas about that?
Thanks,
Pier Rodelon
PS. Vista is pretty impressive to me so far. It's a little too garish
looking, but has some significant advances, and at least it's prettier than
Win was.
