O.K. I accidently pressed a button when I was downloading a file. It was the do not sho me this again button in the download page that has all of the save, open, etc. the page where it askes you what to do wiht the file. I was wondering how I can make it show me that again, because now it doesn't even confirm with me using that page anymore. How can I get it to ask me if I want to save it or open it.

How can I get it to ask me if I want to save it or open it.

Open Windows Explorer, click TOOLS menu|FOLDER OPTIONS|FILE TYPES tab and
select the entry for the file type that you are attempting to save...

Check the "confirm open after download" box. Click on OK to exit.

That does not fix my problem. What I mean is that when I download a file it normally asks if I want to open or save the file. If i click save then it lets me choose where to download it and that stuff. But now it doesn't ask if I want to open or save it anymore. When I click on a download link, it just starts downloading. How do I get it to ask me if I want to open or save the file?

You tried the suggestion? Once the box is checked, you should again be asked.

Once the box is checked??? There are a couple hundred boxes.

In Windows Explorer, TOOLS menu|FOLDER OPTIONS|FILE TYPES tab. Select the
file type you are attempting to download and click the ADVANCED button.
On the screen there should now be a single box that reads "confirm after
download". Checkmark that one box. Click on OK | OK.
