Like most internet users, I like to download off the net
zip files, mp3's and pics. Well I was downloading a zip
file and cliked something that now makes it download to a
temporary dir. Now if I right click and save to a dir it
works, but when you left click and try to save then it
goes to the same temp. dir. How can I restore this back
to the default setting where I can direct where I want my
downloads to go to. Please email me at
(e-mail address removed) with some kind of help. It is
driving me nust and I can't get any help from TechTV.

Thanks
Grey Wolf

I don't know about resetting the default, but why don't you get a download
manager.
Then you can assign a folder it will download to, and also if the server
drops the connection, you can resume most downloads.
I am using "fresh download"

You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zip
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File)
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm open
after download" box

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.
