I am wondering if there are any tips for downloading a
file from the internet?
I want to download a particular file, and i download it
while Im on the internet, but it goes really slow and
takes up a long time, even way past my time limit. So
eventually I have to disconnect.
Is there any way I can get the file from the internet but
download it wen Im not online as it would cut down on the
waiting time and costs.
I tried to save the web page but it wouldnt and also I
tried adding it to favourites checking the offline box
and synchorizing it to no luck.
All help would be very much appreciated.

No, you have to be online. If you're not online (connected to the
internet) files aren't available to you.

What you want to do would be akin to talking to your cousin on
the other side of the country without either of you making a
telephone call.

Personally I tried DAP didn't like it as much as Getright.
Is the file on a FTP link or a HTTP link (sometimes this
will be marked on the web page link or you can right click
th link and choose view source looking for the url
associated to the link.

This is entirely dependant upon the speed of the
connection, server load and condition. Some DLs are creepy
slow. Ive had as low as 100 bps to start with and getting to
24kbps after 10 to 15 minutes.

You can get a download manager, I use FreshDownload from
Fresh Devices (free).

You can also set your connection to not automatically
disconnect at 20 minutes.
