Downloading .Zip Files--Accidental Error

D

Dan Mattia

Hi everyone, first post here.

I'm really fast when it comes to computers. Sometimes
that's good, sometimes it's bad. Anyway, I was
downloading a .zip file when I accidently clicked the
check box that said "Automatically do this next time" or
something to that extent, and then I accidently clicked
open. Now, whenever I try to download a .zip file, it
automatically opens instead of giving me the option to
save it or open, etc.

Please help.

Greetings

I did the same thing the other day. Open My Computer, goto Tools>>Folder
Opitions>>File Types Tab. Scroll down to ZIP, click Advanced>>Check
"Confirm open after download"

In Windows Explorer click Tools> Folder Options. On the "File Types" tab
find "Zip." Highlight (left click once) Zip and click Advanced. Tick The
"Confirm open after download" box.
