i was trying to download windows xp but had to stop in the middle of it & now
i have 2 windows xp (home) on my computer. everytime i turn my computer on,
it keeps reverting back to the setup. how do i get rid of the setup?

Where did you try to download Windows XP? Legal downloads do not exist.

First, lets change the terminology. Downloading is not installing. You were
INSTALLING Windows XP Home but had th stop in the middle of it.

There is possibly two things you could do.
FIRST: Let windows complete the installation. When it reboots (restarts
computer) do not touch anythime. Let the it continue until setup completes.
SECOND: Start the install a third time except make sure that you format the
hard drive before starting the install. Follow the directions carefully on
the XP CD screen.
Do not interupt the setup process.
Good Luck

He is using the term "download" to say he installed, a
common use in parts of the world.

Accepted terms...
download... to access and copy a file from the Internet to
your computer. The file could be a program file or a data
file, it is still downloaded and copied.
install... running a program file install routine so that
the file is made ready to run, with registry entries, icons
created, etc.
