Downloading Windows 2000 security update

Every time I try to download the latest security update I
get this message "Connection to site failed. No connection
could be made because the target machine actively refused
it. While trying to download Windows 2000 KBB2398 0-x86-
ENU.exec" I have tried several other sites for downloads
and keep coming up with the same result. Has my machine
got a virus, or is this a technical fault? I am pretty
much a beginner and would appreciate any help at all.

You should run a virus scan on your computer any time unual things happen.
It may help if you add Microsoft.com to your trused Web Zone and set the
trusted zone settings to "default" by selecting default. You can access Web
Content Zones in tool/internet options/security. --- Steve
