..Downloading videos and music from news groups...HELP...

can anyone give me a listg of servers i can download from? i just got a new
computer and i can remember what my old one was... on that i could download
almost anything, all i can remember is it was some like
alt.binaries.WHATEVER and i could specific files...so if anyone could
please help. thx
