HELP! we have recently purchased a digital camcorder. On downloading to
Windows movie maker we are experiencing juddering pictures. The sound is
normal and continues but the video clips stop and start. On viewing the movie
through camcorder it is completley normal, it is only when we download and
begin editing the problems occur.
We had the same problem with our analogue camcorder.
Please could you help we are relatively new to this game. Many thanks

There are quite a few different possible reasons for this and they all
pertain to one system resource or another.
How much memory does your computer have?
What is the CPU?
Do you have a lot of TSR programs running in the background using up
resources?
Did you disable your screensaver before capturing?
See where I am going with this? Try to eliminate as many things that could
eat up resources as possible and defragment your hard drive. If your CPU is
fast enough and you have enough memory these things will likely do the
trick. Also I recommend reading Graham's page on the subject:

Along with what I've already said there are other suggestions here.
