downloading updates?

Just wondering if I need to download any of the updates on the Microsoft site even though my computer automatically does the updates.

Hi, If you have auto. updates on then no you do not need to download any
manually.

Actually you should download updates on your own. This
way you get a lot of other cool features that aren't
drivers or security updates. You might miss out on a lot
if you don't download on your own.

Diane,

Windows will automatically download Critical Updates with the automatic
updates feature. It will not download anything from Windows Update under
the Windows XP section or the Driver section. It is up to you to read the
descriptions and decide if you want to download any of those.
