I have a truetype font, STOMP_Sui Generis, that I have put into a website.
it looks great on my computer when I view the site, but when I view the site
from other computers it acts like the font is not present and the font has
defaulted to some generic font. shouldn't the font show up on all computers
by default? if not, can I force it to download?

thanks, kenbo

I'm no expert, but having gone through the same thing myself, the font
is not on all computers, and the browser will use a default font...you
could either supply a link to your site visitors to download the font
or use a universal font that is on all computers. Like I said, been
there, done that.

should clarify - I am using FP 2003, and viewing the site from XP
workstations running SP2.

Makes no difference. A font will only display in a web page if the font is
installed on a viewers computer.
There is a method called WEFT that will prompt a user to download and
install a font, but few people will, just to view a web page.

If you want the font to display in something such as a logo, take a
screenshot of it, convert the image to a gif or jpg and then use the image
in your web page.
