Downloading Problems

When i click on something to download the little box comes up and then it appears to do nothing. The filesize and transfer rate does not appear and nothing downloads. Nothing else happens.
 
This can happen if there is a problem connecting to the server containing
the file that you want to download. You would need to contact the owner of
the Web site or of the file that you are downloading. I assume this does not
happen for any file on any Web site but only files on a certain or certain
Web sites? Do you get an error dialog if you wait? What is an example link
that causes this problem? Can you post a .jpg file of the dialog you receive
after clicking the link to download and of any error dialogs you receive?

Hi , I just posted a new message to report this same
problem - didn't search far enough back to see this
posting. It happens no matter what site I'm trying to
download from. Microsoft Download Center, Toshiba
Support center - any link that I click on to 'download',
a new window pops up, with the gif placeholder icon and
the status bar says DONE - with the url still displaying
in the address field. I thought that it might be the
site at first - but I've been trying to get this to work
for a couple of weeks now. I've really done nothing new -
any ideas for me and mr1971?
