downloading powerpoint templates

hi! i want to download templates but i'm afraid of getting a virus. is the
chance high or is it generally safe since they're from the microsoft website?
and oh, will the PPT 2007 templates work for lower versions?

Kimsim,
It should be safe to download the Microsoft templates.
On you second question, yes, if you save the downloaded template as a
PPT97-2003 template. Which you can find in the save as list.That should do
it.

If you wnat to download PowerPoint templates without threats, Office
official site is the great choice, by the way, some other safe site
for downloading in my recommedations:

The PowerPoint 2007 template in *.POTX cannot be open in lower
verison.
