downloading pictures

Dear sir or maddam,

I can't for the life of me figure this out. Everytime I
try to download a picture in the bmp file format or any
other viewable format I get this message: Windows cannot
open this file, windows neet to know what program created
it..etc. When I manually select one of my other programs
like photoshop, picture viewer etc. It wont open.

Can anyone help. I never had this problem with my other
computers.

i used 2 use wizard 2 download all my picures on but the wizard wont start is there a simple answer ?
