I have a canon digital and upgraded from a 16Mb to 256Mb
card with out any problem. XP recognizes the camera when
you plug in your camera to usb cable and it dosn't care
what size of card is in the camera. It must be something
with HP only. Check their web site for help.

The 618c, (discontinued), was the first HP model that overcame that fault.
It was a HP branded Pentax, and a pretty good rig too.
