downloading photos from a CD into mycomputer/pictures

I'm going bananas trying to download photos from a CD
into my computer and to file them on "my pictures". I've
gone through my operating manuals for windows XP
and "dummy" books to no avail!!! I'm sure it's a simple
procedure, but it's evading me. I'd appreciate your help!

You do not 'download' from a CD, you copy from it just like from any
other drive/directory..

Right-click on START, pick explore..find your CD, click on one of the
graphic files go to edit..copy ; navigate to the 'my pictures' folder
- highlight the folder name and select edit..paste..

Repeat as needed...( to copy more than one at a time, single-click on
the first one and shift-click on the last in the set you want to copy
( use cntrl-click if you want to select non-sequentially located
files)
