Downloading music

When I go to download a song like 50 or more of tha same song pops up but it
has different numbers by it. I was told to dowload the one with to lowest
number for better quality is this true?

A higher bitrate and larger file size is better for playback quality and for
editing purposes. The information you have is backwards I'm afraid.
