downloading music

what is the best legal site to download music? Someone had told me limewire
but I see negative comments about that site. Question 2....is every site
that you download going to present some kind of problem?.... Thanks

Stay away from Limewire, iTunes and Wall-Mart. Most of their downloads
are DRM (Digital Rights Management). That means you can't make copies
legally. There are many fileshare websites you can access to download
music but currently all are considered illegal, such as Shareaza, WinMX,
eDonkey, Kazaa, Morpheus, Grokster and Warez P2P. WinMX and Morpheus are
the simplest to use with a wide variety of share files of all genres. You
can use
them free at your own recognizance.

Thank you to all who have written and given me suggestions and advice. I
had considered Wal-Mart site, think I will pass on them. Looking at what
you all suggested what seems to be the best for me is the MSN site that
Galen suggested. What is nice is you can listen to a small snip of the
music before deciding to buy. I am interested in bluegrass, and old
country and MSN had the largest variety of this kind of music. A lot more
than Dell MusicMatch is offering or Yahoo..
I am using Dell Jukebox as my default. Thanks again much appreciated.

Given that you're interested in blues it's likely that much of what you'd be
looking for is no longer covered by copyright. (Touch on Susan Tedeschi when
you have a moment. Be sure to do a good search for "Leadbelly" too, you'll
find some of the roots of today there.) www.alltheweb.com has a music
searching option there. You'll probably be able to legally find and download
a lot of older music from searching through there.
