I have tried everything possible to down load mpeg's from my newsgroups, from
opening up any and all , encoding them, downloading to another place on my
computer, nothing seems to work. I have Windows Vista, and Windows mail,
nothing works. Before when I had Windows XP and used Outlook Express, I
didnt do anything and it downloaded with no problem, Any one have another
suggestion??

I assume these are multi-part messages, yes? Click on the Subject header so that
the messages are in numerical order, highlight the first, hold down the shift
key, and highlight the last. Menu (ALT if not visible) > Message > Combine and
Decode. Save to disk and open.

Neither Outlook Express nor Windows Mail are designed for heavy-duty
downloading of multipart binaries from Usenet. Are the mpegs you refer to
yEnc-encoded? If so, neither Outlook Express nor Windows Mail can decode
them. If you were decoding them with Outlook Express you must have been
using a third-party add-on that allowed you to do so. It may be that that
add-on doesn't work with Windows Mail.

The solution is to use yEnc-savvy software. I use Forte Agent. There are
other options.

I do not have or have not seen anything that says Combine and Decode, i have
checked all the file, edit, view tools, nothing

Actions > Recombine Attachments might do it.
