Downloading Internet Programs and Quicktime Movies

When I try to download things, I get about halfway, and then it stops.
I tried to download quicktime, and an online casino, and I click "run",
and it goes for about 10 seconds, then sits where it is. If I go back
and hit download, then run again, it will gain another bit, and stop
again. I finally got quicktime to download, after doing it like 50
times, and now, when I try to watch movie trailers, it will only
download about 5 seconds of them, and stop. I even upgraded to
Internet Explorer 7, which sucks, but it didn't help my problem. It is
like everything I try to download stops part of the way into it. Any
help would be awesome, thanks.

Check for Spyware.

Spyware causes many problems. If not installed download Adaware
and / or update Reference file
from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ and use it to
remove parasites. If Spyware persists as a problem try a Hosts file.
