Downloading Help

On my old computer I could download multiple files at one time. Since
getting a newer and faster one I can only download a couple at a time.
Running XP Pro.
Can some one give me directions on how to change my settings to multiple
downloads. You will have to make the instructions very clear for me.

Internet Explorer is limited to two simultaneous downloads, but you can
alter this:
