i need a simple explination on how to download atricals with pics to stay in one page. i have tried all the options from my browser but when the file is opened pics are in one file and text in another, and i can't figure how to merge them. i even tried pasting each pic into the text file and that wont work,
thanks

If you are saving the Web page as a Word document (not an HTML file), try
selecting each graphic and pressing Ctrl+Shift+F9. This will unlink it and
embed it in the doc.

Hi Suzanne, is there an easier way? I have very limited net time so I grab every "how to" I can find to read later, the only option I haven't tried yet is e-mailing the articals to myself to try and keep them in one piece. I also tried to open them in different programs but get the same results. thank you

If you use File (on the menu of your browser) | Save As: Web page, complete,
you'll get the page plus a subfolder containing all the linked graphics.

Hi Suzanne, yes that is what happens, if I use the single page option, I get a red box with an X where the picture should be. I have some time tonight so I'll try the ctrl+shift+f9 save as text file to see how it works, thanks

Hi again, f9 didn't work, but I finally got them to down load as a single page complete with pics in place. But I can only view them from my browser. How do I view them in another program?? When I tried word I got lots of scrambled words and no pics, sorry to be so dense.

F9 just updates fields; you need to use Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink them, but it
won't do any good to unlink them if you can't see the picture. You must be
still connected to the Internet (so that the picture will display) in order
to do this. OTOH, when I copy a Web page as "Web page, complete" and save it
in a Word document folder, I can open it in Word (Web Layout view).
