I am having a problem in downloading pictures as IE
always downloads in BMP and not JPG. This requires using
Photo shop to change them from BMP to JPG. Have tried
deleting an reloading IE but to no avail. Cannot find
anyway to change the default. HELP!!!

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.

Hi Robin,

Try emptying your TIF folder (C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files).
One way to do that:
In IE / TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS / TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES / click DELETE
FILES / and enable DELETE OFFLINE CONTENT while you're there / OK / OK.

Good Luck.

Yes, I have the same problem. Will someone please help
us!!! I installed a 3rd party browser but found the same
problem when I right-clicked a .jpg to be saved. It only
gave me option of saving in .bmp. What is going on? I
have MS XP home edition.

Ron,

Load up Internet Explorer and click on TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/DELETE FILES then on CLEAR HISTORY then close IE and open it again and see if that helps.
