Hi,
System specifications:
Domain Controller: Windows 2000 Server SP4, MS Enterprise
CA,Active Directory domain, IE 6 SP1
Klient: Windows 2000 Pro SP2, IE 6 SP1
Issue:
The browser freezes with message "downloading activex
control " allways when I try to get on the "Request a
certificate for a smard card on behalf...." page. It
happens both on Workstation and Domain Controller which
runs the CA. I have the administrator rights and cert web
serveser (http://certservetname/certsrv/} is in the trusted
site zone. All activex controlls are enabled in the IE
options. I have the account with admin rights.
I have already tried the
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=330389 but it is not
possible to install/uninstall 323172 fix over SP4 on the DC.
Workstation with 323172 fix browser shows the "downloading
activex control".
Without this fix I get this message "Proper version of the
ActiveX control failed to download and install. You may not
have sufficient permission..." I have admin rights and CA
web sites are in list of trusted sites. All ActiveX
controls are Enabled.
I dont see any light at the end of this tunnel...
Thanks for any help
Petr
