I'm using XP home with Adobe Acrobat 6.0. Whenever I begin downloading a PDF
file from the internet, it begins; then locks and can't be stopped until
it's finished downloading. You can't use the X to close...the minimize
icon.....nothing will function once these files begin.
I have noticed a padlock icon showing in the lower left hand corner of the
PDF window but I have no idea if it's related to this issue or how to use it
if it is. Aside from doing a cntrl/alt/delete, is there any way to stop
these PDF files from downloading once they begin, and is this locking of the
system normal?
Better yet, is there a link that will explain the issues I'm having?
Many thanks,
Dudley

Thanks. I mentioned that in my post as a known. What I need to know is if
the lock is a known issue with Adobe and if there's any OTHER way to deal
with it besides cntrl/alt/delete.
