I skimmed through a number of posts in this forum, but didn't find any
helpful posts thus far.

I downloaded the Microsoft Windows Vista Prerelease Candidate 1 from the
official Microsoft website, but am not able to find a activation code for it.
No code was emailed to me either.

I've already written a number of beta client feedbacks to try and help make
the product better, but without a product key, my time to do so will be very
limited.

I downloaded (08/30/06) and finally got Vista to install yesterday. I seem
to be in the same boat. I followed the instructions to download the pre-RC1
build for the first 100,000 users and never received a code. The frustrating
thing is you can't contact anyone at Microsoft to find out what is going on.
I have now wiped out my daughters XP-SP2 machine to try Vista out and if I
don't have a code in 13 days I will have to reinstall XP. Please let me know
if you find out anything. I spent 5 days trying to install Vista without
losing all of my daughters files. My daughter has already sent numerous
feedback in her four hour test drive last night.

Your activation key should have been in your email from Microsoft. Or use
your Beta 2 key.

I just found this post and it works if you go to the link.
http://www.laboratoire-microsoft.org/n/22215/

In the location drop box select your country and you will get the key and
download. I am downloading again as I type.

Iam one of the lucky ones and already have windows vista rc1 up and running
with product key,i was browsing on the windows vista blog this afternoon, and
there is a message on there from a chap that says new product keys and a
clickable web link which is http://www.laboratoire-microsoft.org/n/22215/
i clicked on this link then at the bottom of the page selected my location
this took me through and asked for my windows live id and password and
confirm my details and then it displayed a new key for rc1,i then checked my
emails and i have also received email from microsoft welcoming me to windows
beta 2 and another one with my new key and welcoming me to windows
rc1.......

dont know what to make of it really but over to you guys....

regards

louise....

THANKS!!!!!! Gosh...it shouldn't be so hard to get a key code, lol. That link
you provided did the trick and now I can go and install Vista on the rest of
my PC's to further test the system out.
