I downloaded and installed SP2 yesterday. It seems to be
working fine and the popup blocker is sweet. Although I
have one small problem that I was hoping someone knows
the answer to. I use Windows Messenger primarily to alert
me when I get new email to my Hotmail account. Whenever I
get new mail, the little alert "pops" up from the systray
icon of WM. However, now that I have installed SP2, the
systray icon is now linked to Outlook. I was wondering
how do I revert back to the old setting of Hotmail
Notifications. I looked at the options menu for WM, but I
couldnt seem to find anything that would get me back
these alerts. Anyone have a clue as to what I should do?
Thanks.

Greetings Joshua,

The Windows Messenger version within SP2 does not have support for Add-ins which is required
for Hotmail support within Windows Messenger. As such, in order to get this functionality
back, you'll either need to downgrade to the previous version of Windows Messenger
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/download.asp) or use MSN Messenger instead
(http://messenger.msn.com/Download).

I decided to download MSN messanger. But now have a problem. It will not
log in automatically even though I have checked the option. It load MSN
messanger and appears to attempt to for a second and then just stops. I
can't believe that microsoft took out the addins. Everything worked before.
I tried going back to the old version and that didn't work because after I
installed it, the program wouldn't even automatically load up on
startup...much less log in. Can anyone help? I am so tired of every update
causing problems.

It crashed three Dell computers at my place.
