As advised at a website I went to IE Tools/Internet Options/Temporary
Internet Files/Settings Button/View Objects/Downloaded Program Files, and
delete whatever there that appears as not installed. I have the following
that I need advise on:

Program File
Version

{33564D57-9980-0010-8000-00AA00389B71} 0,0,0,1
{556DDE35-E955-11D0-A707-000000521957} 0,0,01
{9F1C11AA-197B-4942-BA54-47A8489BB47F} 5,4,3790,14
{DC187740-46A9-11D5-A815-00B0D0428C0C} 0,0,0,1

Status : Unknown for all four.
Creation Date : The first two is unknown. The other two are at the time I
bought the computer 6 months ago.
Last Accessed : The first two is unknown. The other two are today.
Version : The third one has a close to similar number to another "installed"
one.

Is it safe for me to delete the four?
TIA

You can delete all that is in this folder if needed it will be redownloaded.
NOTE: many malware applications will add an active X control here have you
scanned your system lately?

YES-You need more than 1 malware program, the one's below are all free
and work well.
LSP-fix- http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
Spybot S&D - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
About Buster- http://www.spychecker.com/program/aboutbuster.html
Ad-Aware SE - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
CWShredder - http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html
Hijack this - http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html\
Hijackthis tutorial - http://forums.maddoktor2.com/index.php?showtopic=165
SpywareBlaster - http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Thanks for your response.

Could you please clarify this a bit. The advise I got from the forum was to
delete only all that were not "installed". If they will be redownloaded when
reqd I'll be quite happy to delete all of them.

I scan my system regularly, almost daily. There is no malware. I use
Ad-aware SE, Spybot, CW Shredder and SpywareBlaster. I have a Kerio Personal
Firewall that has served me well. Hijack this is a bit hard to use for us
non geeks.
