Downloaded MP3s starting playing with media player

Hi there... wondering if anyone can help. I am trying to d/l and save
to file some MP3 files and instead of being able to save them they
start straight up (in either windows media player or Quicktime )and
play without a 'save to' option..my already grey hair is starting to go
white.. please help... aspro
 
Open Explorer and go to Tools->Folder Tools->File Types Tab->scroll down to
MP3 and select. Then click Advanced button. Uncheck both boxes and OK out.

Try right clicking on the link to the file and selecting save target
as---this should give you the option to choose save location and to rename
the file as it is saved if so desired.
